"The surroundings with all the castles and zoos is a real delight. And it is extremely convenient that the location is very close to the Autoroute!"
"Le Moulin de Courcueil" is located on a quiet dead-end road at 2.5 km from the village of Ecueillé, where you can find all of the necessary amenities. The originally medieval village still possesses an old Romanesque church. There are several lakes (fishing, surfing etc.) on a few kilometres away. Walking and cycling routes are available, even directly from the estate.
One of the largest zoos in France, Beauval Zoo, with over 4600 animals is 20 km away and the beautiful bird sanctuary De la Brenne ("park of the thousand lakes") is 35 km away. Very nice golf courses (18 holes) are within range; at a distance of 35 and 45 km. The region is "littered" with the most splendid small and large castles, including Valencay, Chenonceau, Cheverny, Chambered (starting at 19 km away).
Historic cities like Tours and coastal places like La Rochelle are within 1 to 2 hours drive away. Also the Burgundians among us are well catered for with the many vineyards (Touraine)! In addition, the region is known for its delightful goat cheeses.
